As the parent of a current and future Alexandria City Public Schools student and a community advocate who served as the Parent Teacher Association president, I have seen firsthand the challenges that face our schools--especially those exacerbated by the pandemic. I  understand the importance of having elected officials who care about the community, having previously lived under a dictatorship where government accountability and self-determination are non-existent. I witnessed how a corrupt and incompetent government threatens critical services like education and impacts economic opportunity and society at large.

I am ready to jump in and help create positive changes for future generations. I will draw from my experiences and listen to parents, teachers, and community members to ensure success. That means every student has an equal opportunity to succeed and thrive, our staff and educators are paid and treated fairly, and everyone has a seat

at the table.
